Team Merlin 2009
Welcome to the Official Website for Team Merlin - the RAF's display team for the Merlin helicopter.
The concept behind Team Merlin is to allow anyone who is interested in and supports the RAF Merlin Force to be part of a large group of like minded people. This includes the whole age spectrum from our most senior right through to the youngest supporters alike. By choosing to adopt our logo you automatically become a part of an ever growing 'team'.
Over the last 4 years we have been privileged to meet many of you and say hello and have a chat. This year is once again a great opportunity to meet some old friends and make plenty of new ones too.
On this year’s website, we have made some changes so that you will be able to have a look at what Team Merlin is all about. There will be regular updates and hopefully we will be able to post some of your photos online as well as show you some of your images from past years displays.
Team Merlin comprises of personnel from 28(AC) Squadron, 78 Squadron and the support elements of the Merlin Force who volunteer to go out and about and meet the public and display their Mk3 and Mk3a Merlin helicopters.
This year we hope to be able to once again portray the role that the aircraft and personnel are currently undertaking whilst on Operations overseas.
